New phones make ideal gifts
If you're stuck for ideas as to what to buy your loved one for their birthday, then look no further. There are many companies that cater just for this predicament. You could trudge around the shops looking for that flash of inspiration and ultimately this might be what you'll end up doing. But take a quick look on the internet and you'll be presented with online shopping stores offering gifts galore that maybe never even have entered your head. You can obviously pay online and some sites will even provide a telephone ordering service, should you be the type that doesn't trust giving their credit card number to a computer screen. But hey - do you really know who's answering the phone? While we're on that subject - new phones - now they are devices that most of us own and they make perfect gifts.
They can be daunting to someone who has never owned one, but some are basic and not that complicated. Should you be buying one as a gift for an elderly relative who still has a black and white TV and wind-up gramophone, then one at the lower end of the scale would be perfect - anything else would just collect dust in the bedroom drawer. Buy one for a teenager or someone who has just graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and you've got to be looking at smart-phones and PDAs, anything less advanced will also be thrown in the drawer - but for a completely different reason!
